A Little Peace and Quiet.

 Katwijk

Und der Tag am Meer. Nach Antwerpen folgte Katwijk, ein wunderschönes Plätzchen, wo ausser uns wirklich kaum jemand unterwegs gewesen ist. Das Wetter war erstaunlich mild, die Sonne schien, das Meer hat geglitzert - besser kann ein Tag kaum sein. (Jedenfalls nicht im November) Gefrühstückt haben wir unterwegs - warum gibts es in Holland so großartige Autobahnraststätten und in Deutschland ist das Essen überall nur mäßig bis bäh? Dort gab es Smoothies (Melone-Minz, yumm!), leckeren Salat und Omelette-Sandwiches. Am Nachmittag sind wir noch weiter nach Leiden - die Bilder folgen. Credit geht übrigens an Gerry's Kamera, die zwar uralt ist, aber die besten Fotos macht! :D; XX

Seaside. We left Antwerp and drove straight to Katwijk/the beach. It was so quiet there - we felt like being all alone as we only saw approx. five other people (but countless dogs) - although the weather's been amazing. Sun was shining, the ocean glittered, there aren't too many days like that in november. We had breakfast en route. Why is the food in Holland so good while in Germany the food you get at roadhouses is almost always kinda gross? There they had smoothies (melon mint for me, yumm!), amazing salad and delicious sandwiches. Later on we drove to Leiden - I'll show you the pics tomorrow. <3, XX
